What is a Ranger? Each Ranger is different. Some are social, some are loners. Some excell in camoflage or archery, while others learn the ways of survival skills such as trapping and foraging. Each Ranger is an individual who has carved out a unique life for him/herself. What binds us together is our beliefs and strong ties to one another and to nature.
Rangers are teachers and students. We love to learn new things about the world around us and tell others about it. Our skills in trapping, tracking, security, cartography, foraging, camoflage, and archery are unmatched by anyone. We are proud of our accomplishments and do not keep them secret. We love to teach others the ways of the wild. We are helpers and guides.
Rangers are the most aggressive defenders of nature in the kingdoms. We gather to protect the balance of nature, the cycles of its seasons, and its fragile environment. Rangers are masters of nature and themselves. We have mastered the arts of marksmanship and stealth, making us powerful allies or lethal foes
We, as protecters of nature, know what the ravages of war can do to its fragile balance, therefore we are a peaceful people and we do not look for conflict. Rangers prefer peace and tranquility, similar to that found in the streams and brooks flowing from snow-capped mountains. We will defend that serenity and take the necessary steps to preserve it.
We are the unseen eyes of the wild, the hand of nature, and the defenders of nature's balance. We are guardians of the wilderness. We are masters of ourselves and our surroundings. We are everywhere, yet we are nowhere. We are Rangers.
